STONEFRUIT

Season for European STONEFRUITS is ending and good quality fruit is no longer available. It will take some weeks before overseas stonefruit will be on the market and good enough to reach the required quality standards.

BERRIES

Other areas come into production. Produce is sourced in Europe and imported from South American countries. We select the best possible product available on the market; you will find products from various sources in different packaging. Since some items are rather fragile, we strongly advise to store berries in cool chambers asap after arrival.

MELONS

All melons are from overseas production now. Please note early season Southern Hemisphere watermelons are not seedless. These types contain some edible seeds. Seedless types will only be available in the course of the season. Due to the longer transit time, level of ripeness is different from European produce.

YICAMA

Availability of BANKWAN/YICAMA is not guaranteed. Caused by intensified inspection of the European Phytosanitary authorities, quite some shipments of yicama are blocked for import into EU, due to too high levels of residue. Besides, we do our own laboratory tests on a regular base. We are therefore not always sure of supply and might be forced to cancel or reduce orders.

LYCHEES

Lychees are temporarily not available due to change in season. This is a normal situation for this time of the year. New crop is expected in November earliest.

BOK CHOY BABY/ SHANGHAI PAK CHOY

Is temporarily very short in availability due to the switch in different production zones. In case of non availability, we will substitute orders (partial) with normal white bok choy.

YELLOW ZUCHINI

Dutch production has ended and orders cannot be fulfilled. Alternative product from other sources is not (yet) available, or of an inferior quality. Please indicate if extra quantities zucchini green are needed to substitute.

SQUASH ACORN

Season is over and item is not available for the moment. Supply from alternative sources is not yet on the market.

SHIITAKE

Production of Chinese SHIITAKE is moving from one area to an other. Supply is therefore temporarily very short. We might be forced to supply (partly) Dutch shiitake instead. Please note this Dutch produce is a fresh mushroom, direct from the producers, where Chinese product is partially dried. Quality is very good, but cooking characteristics are different from the Chinese product.

FRESH FIGS

Season for European fresh figs is in full swing. Good volumes are available from Turkey. Very nice product with an excellent taste! Experience learns us that the season will stop soon and quite unexpectedly. Ask for actual, daily prices.

CORN ON THE COB

Autumn is the typical season for CORN ON THE COB. Nice, full grain and fresh harvested sweet corn.

KAKI/SHARONFRUIT

This item is back in season now. Very nice product for eating and for decoration. Ask for actual prices.

RHUBARB

Season for RHUBARB is over. New production from forced growing methods are expected in a short period.

GRAPES

European GRAPES are running to the end of the season. We will schwitch to production from Southern Hemisphere soon.
